At the end of 2019, Fujifilm Canada contacted me and asked if I would accept to review a new camera they were going to release soon, the Fujifilm X-E4. I was pretty excited and I accepted without hesitation. After all, the first camera I met with the Fujifilm X family was the Fujifilm X-E2, and the idea of writing a review about the latest version of this camera motivated me a lot. Moreover, a talented photographer like Patrick LaRoque was going to shoot the promotional video, and even the idea of realizing this project with him got me excited even more.
Unfortunately, our time was too short to bring the project to life and we were in the middle of the pandemic. In other words, my possibilities for going out and taking street photos were very limited.
In the promotional video we shot, I had to talk about the snowy Montreal photos and take photos under the snow. But for some reason, winter was pretty stubborn about coming that year. During the time the camera was with me, it snowed very lightly for only 2 days. For some shots I used flash to make the snowflakes stand out even more, and finally I made minor changes to my review for Fujifilm's website.

After the project was released, Patrick published a BTS article on his website and I was very happy to read those words: ..."I didn’t know Mustafa and I’d never seen his photography. As soon as I did, however, I was sold."

Fin 2019, Fujifilm Canada m'a contacté et m'a demandé si j'accepterais de tester un nouvel appareil photo qu'ils allaient bientôt sortir, le Fujifilm X-E4. J'étais très enthousiaste et j'ai accepté sans hésitation. Après tout, le premier appareil photo que j'ai rencontré avec la famille Fujifilm X était le Fujifilm X-E2, et l'idée d'écrire une critique sur la dernière version de cet appareil photo m'a beaucoup motivé. D’ailleurs, un photographe talentueux comme Patrick LaRoque allait tourner la vidéo promotionnelle, et j'étais ravi même à l'idée de réaliser ce projet avec lui.
Malheureusement, notre temps était trop court pour donner vie au projet et nous étions en pleine pandémie. En d’autres termes, mes possibilités de sortir et de prendre des photos de rue étaient très limitées.
Dans la vidéo promotionnelle que nous avons tournée, je devais parler des photos enneigées de Montréal et prendre des photos sous la neige. Mais l’hiver hésitait beaucoup à arriver cette année-là. Pendant que la caméra était avec moi, il a neigé très légèrement pendant seulement 2 jours. Pour certaines photos, j'ai utilisé le flash pour faire ressortir encore plus les flocons de neige, et finalement j'ai apporté des modifications mineures à mon article sur le site Web de Fujifilm.

Après la sortie du projet, Patrick a publié un article de BTS sur son site Internet et j'ai été très heureux de lire ces mots : ... "Je ne connaissais pas Mustafa et je n'avais jamais vu ses photographies. Mais dès que je l'ai vu, j'ai été conquis."
